JACK BURT

JACK BURT, age 75, of Troy passed away on Thursday, September 04, 2014 at Koester Pavilion in Troy.  He was born on June 6, 1939 in Piqua to the late Charles and Lena (Landis) Burt.  His wife of 56 years, Judith A. "Judy" (Retter) Burt, survives.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by two daughters: Jessica Bankston of Troy and Jill Burt (Steve Scothorn) of Brookville; one sister: Joan Potts of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren: Tony Manfredi and Danielle Manfredi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was a graduate of Miami East High School in 1957.  He was a member of Cove Spring Church and Cove Spring Grange.  Jack enjoyed building radio-controlled model airplanes.  He was a State Examiner for the Auditor of Ohio before retiring in 1991.

The family will welcome friends from 2-4 PM and 5-7 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  A Grange Service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM on Sunday.
