J.D. Caudill, 64, died at his residence on Wednesday, July 24,2002. He is survived by his wife, Connie Caudill; two sons, Rigo Caudill and Marcus Caudill; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bill Lisle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Becky Caudill; Wendell and Mary Caudill; grandson, Gabriel Caudill; close cousins, Jackie and Bill Gentry,; special friends and their children, Deborah and Jerome Bach, Marsha Harrod, Melissa Bach and Mindy Bach and Jack and Donna Joyce. Mr. Caudill atttended Ginghamsburg Church; member of FOP Retirees; Ohio Association of Polygraph Examiners; American Polygraph Associatoin; Academy of Certified Polygraph Examiners and member of Crime Stoppers until his retirement at United Dairy Farmers 2002; Received numerous Certificates of Recognition from Dayton Police Department, Montgomery County Court Systems and Montgomery County Prosecutors Office for his work in field of polygraph and investigations; member of Dayton Police Department Hostage Negotiation Team from 1980 to his retirement in 1984; Award of Recongnition from Supervisory Council on Crime and Delinquency for outstanding service in 1976; Selected as City of Dayton Top Flight Award as top employee 1982 for his work in Polygraph and Homicides; Graduate of National Training Center of Lie Detection 1969; Jaycee's Man of Year in 1973. He retired in 1984 after 24 years of service as a Dayton City Police Officer; Owner of Caudill Polygraph Servcies for 31 years and was a security manager with United Dairy Farmers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Kathryn Hale Caudill. Friends may call at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio from 2-5 Sunday, July 28 with a servcie at 10:30AM Monday, July 29 at Baird Funeral Home with Brother Don Gilroy officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Christian Chidren's Fund or Christ Apolostic Church of Sidney. Pallbearers will be Rigo Caudill, Marcus Caudill, Gabriel Caudill, Bill Lisle, Jerome Bach, Kenneth Caudill, Wendell Caudill, Russell Normile and Jack Joyce.
