Isabel B. Stephenson, 84, of Troy, Ohio passed away Thurs., Jan. 23, 2003 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born to the late William and Martha SchmidtBroderick on September 20, 1918. She is preceeded in death by her husband Harold L. Stephenson in 2001. She is survived by a son; Lee Stephenson and his fiance, Susan Hester of Arlington, VA., 2 daughters and sons-in-law:, Sharon and Tom Yount of Troy, Ohio, and Nina and Ronnie Ridgley of North Vernon, Indiana. Also surviving is one sister; Jeanette O'Banion of Xenia, Ohio. She also had several grandchildren; Leah Yount of Troy, Matt Yount of Florida, Kristen Wilson and husband, Kraig of Troy, Joseph Temple of Covington, Ohio, David Temple and his wife, Amber of Troy, and David Ridgley of North Vernon, Indiana. Also survived by 2 Great-Grandsons; Kolton and Kameron Wilson, and 2 devoted nieces, Sharon and Barbara. Along with parents and husband preceding in death, she also was preceded by 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church; she volunteered with Hospice of Miami County, Troy Literacy Council, Dayton Museum of Natural History, Brukner Herb Society; ombudsman for SpringMeade and Koester Pavilion. She was a former Kindergarten teacher with the Tipp City Schools. She has a BS in Social Work from the University of Dayton, and MS in social work from Wright State University. Memorial sevice will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, February, 16, 2003 at the Troy Hayner Cultural Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
