Iris Bernitia Gallagher Johnson Iris Bernitia Gallagher Johnson passed into the presence of her Lord on September 15, 2008 at Koester Pavilion, Troy, Ohio. She was born June 13, 1916 in Ewen, Michigan. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald F. Johnson. The Johnsons have resided in Troy for 38 years, relocating from New York. They were married in Niagara Falls, NY in 1946. Iris was the mother of four children: Patricia L. Smith and David H. Johnson wife Nancy, both of Troy, Rebecca S. Kraft of Glendale, Arizona, and Beverly A. Daly husband Tom of Sierra Vista, Arizona. She has eleven grandchildren: Colleen Bevins of Arcanum; Carmen Miller of Troy, Caryn Rix of Cuba, NY, Craig Childs of Wonder Lake, IL, Chris Childs of Dayton, Timothy J. Kraft of Glendale, AZ currently serving in Iraq, Lindsay A. Daly, Ryan Daly of Nashville, TN, Laura Johnson of Troy, Ian Daly currently attending the US Military academy at West Point, and Logan Daly of Sierra Vista, AZ. Iris was also the proud great-grandmother of twelve children: Ian, Kyle, Brennan and Blake Klingler of Troy; Nick, Natalie and Nathan Childs of Dayton; Jaime and Riley Bevins of Arcanum; Hunter and Reagan Rix of Cuba, NY; Abby Childs of Wonder Lake, IL. Iris was well-known for her humor and jokes and will by sorely missed. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
