Irene M. Lewis, 73, of Troy, Ohio passed away Wed. Feb. 7, 2001 at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio following an extended illness. She was born April 2, 1927 to the late Alonzo and Maddy LeMaster Carter. Mrs. Lewis is survived by: her husband of 58 years Clyde E. Lewis; 4 Children Nick Eugene Lewis of Piqua, Richard Allan Lewis of Troy, Terry Michael Lewis of Troy and Carla Pauline Nuckles of Troy; 4 sisters Flora Green of Dublin, OH, Elsie Hack of Delaware, Juanita Kise of Coschocton and Betty Hopkins of Powell; 2 brothers Hershel Carter of Trenton NJ and Danny Carter of Marysville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Irene was a Stapler at Spring Hill Nurseries for 13 years. Services will be Mon. Feb. 12, 2001 at the Baird Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Troy, OH. Friends may call Sun. Feb. 11, 2001 from 5 to 8 PM. at the funeral home.
