Iona M. Archey Adkins, age 85, of Troy, OH died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 26, 1924 in Bennett, KY to the late James H. Archey and Essie Chaffins Archey. She married Oscar Adkins, her husband of 59+ years of marriage who survives. She is also survived by her children, Linda Gary Johnson of Tipp City, OH; Beverly David Browning of Troy, OH; Kathy David Foster of Springfield, OH and James Marsha Adkins of Clewiston, FL; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Iona was preceded in death by a brother, Charles B. Archey and sisters, Claro Abdon and Cora Patrick. Services to be held 2:00PM Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Baird Funeral Home Troy, OH. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery Tipp City, OH.
