Imogene ''Gene'' Thompson, 72, of Piqua, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio died on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Heartland of Piqua Nursing Home. She was born March 9, 1933 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Quincy and Mary Osborne Fyffe. She married William Thompson, and he precedes her in death. She is survived by her children, Kim Friend of Troy, OH; Georgia Randall Shroyer of Troy, OH; Dan Slone of Fairborn, OH and Roger Slone of Springfield, OH; sisters, Dorothy Lee of Troy; Maxine Demoss of Troy; Velma McCall of Troy; JoAnn Fyffe of Corpus Christy, TX; Sandy Wright of Greenville; and Rebecca Wright of Greenville; brothers, Robert Fyffe of Corpus Christy, TX; Richard Fyffe of Las Vegas, NV and Elvis Wright of Greenville; thireteen grandchildren; Derek Slone of Baton Rouge, LA; Rachel Slone and Emily Slone of New Carlisle, OH; Nathan Bullock of Germany; Danielle Bullock of Clinton, TN; Travis Bullock of Lake City, TN; James Mote, Gabreal Felton and Christy Hilleary of Troy, OH; Misty Thompson of Wilmington, OH; Angela Slone of Indiana; Jason Slone of Dayton, OH and Roger Slone Jr. Of New Carlisle, OH and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and brothers and sisters. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Troy and Troy Eagles. Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 10:00AM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Paul Napier officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
