Hortense C. Mumford is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jack and Mary Lee Clawson; a brother, Tom Cairns; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, S. Newton and Carrie Everington Cairns; her husband, John L. Mumford; a daughter, Nancy Farley and one brother, Craig Cairns.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery - Troy, Ohio. Contributions to First United Church of Christ, Troy or Hospice of Shelby County.
