Hollis W. Martin, age 70 of Troy, Ohio passed away Saturday October 18, 2014 at the Covington Care Center. He was born on January 19, 1944 in South Kingstown, Rhode Island to the late Lawrence and Donna (McBurnie) Martin. His wife Betty L. (Abdon) Martin survives. Hollis is also survived by three children: Dawn Brown of Rhode Island, Larry Martin of Piqua and Timothy Martin of Tipp City; three step-children Brenda Rogers of Tipp City, Emily Harman of Cincinnati and Andy Harman of New York City; brother Curtis Martin of Florida and sister Genevieve Sloan of Syracuse New York; 10 grandchildren Alicia, Josh, Jessica, Alek, Abigail, Daniel, John, Elizabeth, Gage and Grace. In addition to his parents Hollis was preceded in death by a sister Alene. Hollis was a former member of the St. Mary's Boat Club and also enjoyed sailing on Lake Erie. He received a degree in Business and specialty in electronics through the military. He retired in 1982 after serving 20 years the U.S. Air force, 4950 ^th test wing. He was then employed with Modern Technologies Corporation until 2004. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Wright Patterson Prairies Chapel in Fairborn, OH.  Honors ceremony will follow in Wright Patterson Memorial Park in Fairborn, OH.
