Herold Eugene "Buddy" Buirley Herold Eugene "Buddy" Buirley, age 80, formerly of Troy passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 at his home in Greensburg, Indiana. He was born in Miami County on November 22, 1928 to Marion and Lula Davis Buirley of Troy, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Leona Amrhein Buirley of Greensburg, IN; daughters: Cinda Mike Wood of Buckeye, AZ and Lora Rudy Tony Oakes of Troy; step-sons: Fred Donna Amrhein of Westport, IN, Richard Patty Amrhein of Troy and Kenny Kathy Amrhein of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Jenny Hawkins and Becky Hampton of Buckeye, AZ, Diana Rudy of Troy, OH and Kristin Rudy of Cincinnati, OH; great-grandchildren: Jillian and Sequoyah Hawkins of Buckeye, AZ, Kai Riggen of Cincinnati, OH and Donovan Shepherd of Troy, OH; sister, Jane Wion of Piqua, Ohio; and brother, Donald Linda Buirley of Troy, Ohio. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the Greensburg, Indiana area who loved and followed him as their grandfather. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Peterseim Buirley and a granddaughter, Allison Nicole Rudy. Mr. Buirley was a 1946 graduate of Troy High School and a member of the Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM and former member of the Troy Boat Club. He also was a Korean War Army Veteran. He retired in 1990 from Hobart Corporation. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, with Veterans Honor Guard Service at the graveside. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 8:00PM.
