HENRY CHARLES FAHRBACH

HENRY CHARLES FAHRBACH, age 100, of Troy; formerly of Larchmont, New York passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence.  He was born on November 12, 1913 in New York, NY to the late John George and Sophie Frank Fahrbach.  Henry married Lydia Rosalie Juanita Sotomayor on May 19, 1940.  She preceded him in death.  Henry was a graduate of New York University.

Henry was a man of sharp wit and unique tastes, from crossword puzzles to poetry, Egg McMuffins to fine port wine.  Henry was loved by all who knew him.  He adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren each in his own special way.  His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be remembered always.

Henry is survived by one daughter: Evelyn Fahrbach West of Troy, OH; and one son: Fred (Ruth) Fahrbach of Larchmont, NY; four grandchildren: Scott (Patty) West of Troy, OH, Matthew West of Bethesda, MD, Max Fahrbach of White Plains, NY and Samantha Fahrbach of Durham, NC.; and three great grandchildren: Tyler Nicole, Tristan and Daymien West. In addition to his wife and parents, Henry was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
