Helen Bernice "Bee" Kirby, age 89, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney. She was born on February 20, 1926 in Troy, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Marie (Jenkins) Cramer.
Bee was married to Robert Eugene Kirby for 64 years and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2013.
Bee is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Kristy and Gordon Holm of Troy, and Claudia Stephens of Troy; five grandchildren, Lisa (Jon) Merritt, Carrie (Bill) O'Leary, Erin (Scott) Summers, Jennifer (Matt) Snyder, and Jim (Kelly) Stephens; twelve great-grandchildren and sister, Dorothy Cramer.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bee was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jake Stephens.
Bee was a 1944 graduate of Troy High School and a 1947 graduate of The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Troy and the Troy Jr. Alturian Club. Bee was formerly a registered nurse with Stouder Memorial Hospital and Cox Heart Institute and retired as a corporate nurse with Hobart Corporation.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Douglas Magin officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
