TROY - Hazel S. Knight, of Troy, died Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy. She was born February 12, 1926, in Cooperative, Kentucky to the late William and Ellen Kidd Slaven. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma McKinley of Troy; son, Jerry Melanie Knight of Lebanon; son, Terry Joyce Knight of Casstown; son, Robert Knight of Troy; daughter, Patricia Knight of Piqua; daughter Tina Rob Snyder of Urbana, brothers Oscar and Grover Slaven of Dayton, six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers, and her husband, Festus H. Knight. Mrs. Knight was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Troy. She was a breeder of Chihuahua dogs. Mrs. Knight was retired from GM and was formerly employed with Sunshine Biscuit for many years. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, February 5, 2007 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Vandalia, OH.
