Hazel Evans Karnes, age 93, of Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney and formerly of Troy died Thursday, February 1, 2001. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donovan and Linda Karnes; Harold and Carol Karnes and Rev. Lowell and Lana Karnes; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Grace Wingar Evans; her husband, Cary M. Karnes; two brothers and one sister. She was a sixty-one year member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women of the church; Order of the Eastern Star #256 and the Troy Sertoma Club.
