Harry C. Zurmehly, age 81 of Troy died Saturday, January 13, 2001. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ella; his wife, Helen; one brother, Homer and one sister, Zelma. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Leonard Clark; Sandra Lutz; Deborah and Glen Gray and Rebecca and Ken Smith; grandchildren, Christy Webb; Missi Archer; Daniel Love; Amy Bailey; Stacy Martin; Katy Wolfe; Kelly Chaney; Juli Lutz; Andrew Love; Carrie Smith; Jenni Smith; Shanda Sutherland; Lisa Riley; Stacey Hunt; Steven and Stacey Gray and nine great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #205 F & AM of Lima; a WWII US Army Veteran and a past member of the Miami Shores Golf Club. A graduate of the Ohio State University and the Miami University. He was an educator in the Lostcreek, Vandalia and Troy Schools as well as a Junior High Football Coach and High School Assistant Coach. He became a Principal of Wayne High School and retired as Assistant Superintendant of the Wayne Twp Schools. He formerly served on the Troy Board of Education.
