Harry E. Carter,91, of St. Mary's, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio died Thursday, 12/26/2002 at the Otterbein Assisted Living in St. Mary's, Ohio. He was born to the late Ira and Mertie Moore Carter on Jan. 3, 1911. He is also preceeded in death by his wife, M. Blanche Benson Carter; sister Catherine Wright; and 1 grandson. Surviving are 5 children; Mary Ann and Larry Paszek of Reston, Va.; Nancy Jean and Kermit Watson of Byron, Ga.; David and Dorothy Carter of Troy, Ohio; Phillip and Yvonne Carter of Auburn, MI.; H. Thomas and Melinda Carter of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are brother Robert Carter of Marion, Ohio; and sister Ethel Carter of LaRue, Ohio. Mr. Carter also had 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He also had 6 Step-grandchildren and 11 Step-Great grandchildren. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy, Ohio. Was a member of the Int'l Gideons Society for over 30 years; former Adult Sunday School teacher for 20 years; he was also Central Committeeman with the Miami County Democratic party. He was also the Founding owner of Carter Electric.
