Harold F. Gheen, 83 of Troy, OH died Fri. December 5, 2008 at 9:58 PM at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, OH following a brief illness the past 3-4 months. He was born November 16, 1925 at home in Miami Co. to the late Frank Gheen and Esther Oswalt Gheen. He is survived by his wife of 60 years June L. Hawn Gheen; Daughter and son-in-law: Pamela J. and Larry Vore of Piqua, OH; Brother and sister-in-law: Earl and Jewell Gheen of Troy; Sister and brother-in-law: Carol and Charles Spicer of Blanchester, OH; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Barbara and Roger Argabright of Troy, Lloyd and Betty Hawn of Centerville, OH, Ruth Gheen – New Carlisle, OH; Loving nieces and nephews; Grandchildren Angela Voisard of San Diego, CA, Tony and Casey Voisard of Hebron, KY. He was preceded in death by: Parents; two brothers Eugene and Melvin Gheen; Sister Grace Armstrong; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lawrence and Tillie Hawn. He was recognized by Miami East HS to receive his diploma after being called to duty during WWII before graduating. He was a member of Alcony Grace Church; US Army Veteran of WWII serving in Okinowa. He retired in 1988 from Hobart Corp after 34 years of service. Funeral services will be Wednesday December 10, 2008 @ 11:00AM at the Baird Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Tuesday December 9, 2008 from 4-7PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Co.
