HAROLD W. DENNEY

HAROLD W. DENNEY, age 98, of Tipp City, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Randall Residence in Tipp City.  He was born in Troy on October 18, 1916 to the late Shelby H. and May (Powell) Denney.  His wife, Donna (Prhen) Denney, preceded him in death in 2005 after 62 years of marriage.

Harold is survived by one daughter: Donelda Denney of CA; one sister-in-law: Rose Denney of Troy; two nephews: John (Shelley) Denney of Troy, Robert Gladman of GA and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Thelma Tucker, Charline Gladman, Jack Denney and Bert Denney.

Harold was a 1934 graduate of Troy High School.  He was a founding member of Masonic Lodge - Provident Three Pillers #609 F & AM in Elk Grove, CA.  Harold retired from Hobart Corp. after 40 years of service.  During WW II, he worked with Lockheed Corp. in Ireland modifying the P-38 Lightning .
