Harold ''Dale'' Chaney, 77, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday, November 1, 204 at his residence after a short illness. He was born on August 9, 1927 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Leo and Mae McNeil Chaney. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eleanor Johnson Chaney. Also surviving are two children and their spouses; John M. & Theresa Chaney of Troy, Ohio and Lu & John Reeves of Rock Hill, South Carolina. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jane & James Edler of Arizona and Helen & Franklin Robinson of Knoxville, Tennessee. Also her has three grandchildren, Angela Chaney-Haynes; Allison Chaney and Daniel Reeves. He also has two step great-grandchildren, Karson Haynes and Spencer Haynes. He was proceeded in death by two sisters, Dolores Jean Chaney and Grace Arlene Reau. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio and was past member of Brukner Star Gazers; past member of Miami County Amateur Radio Club of Troy, Ohio. He retired in 1992 from the Water Distribution as Foreman for the City of Troy, after 23 years of service. Rev. Fr. Jim Duell will be officiating the private family service at Riverside Cemetery.
