Harold "Ted" Bowman, affectionately known as "Pop," passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on September 1, 1948, to the late Harold and Agnes Bowman, Ted was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Ted is survived by his wife of 24 years, Robin (Lykes) Bowman and together they embraced a beautiful family life. Ted was a proud father to their five children: Dan (Shawna) Bowman of Troy; Susan (Dewayne) Davis of Lebanon, TN; Derrick (Anedra) Dunn of Troy; Elizabeth (James) Green of Durango, CO; and Travis (Eryn) Dunn of Troy; his 13 grandchildren; Caden, Stella, Hudson, Colton, Walker, Bryleigh, Lee, Skyler, Lucas, Hayden, Ethan, Carson, and Holden. His grandchildren were the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them, especially cheering them on from the sidelines. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Don and Pat Felver of Lawrenceville, GA, Bud and Juanita Felver of Piqua, Bob and Barb Bowman of Casstown, and Rose and Bob Anderson of Gainesville, GA. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his brother: Larry Bowman; sister: Edith Martin and granddaughter: Brooklynn Dunn.
Ted was a 1967 graduate of Miami East High School. He was a member of True Life Community Church in Troy. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and home remodeling. He worked for many years in construction.
Ted was an avid sports fan. He loved watching the Buckeyes, Reds, Bengals, and Cowboys. He enjoyed hosting "Guys Night" on Tuesdays to watch sports and westerns, bringing friends and family together in laughter.
Ted's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends by his warmth, Faith, humor, and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Services will be held 10:30AM on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Chris Daum officiating. Interment to follow in Casstown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
