Harold E. Bailey, age 81, of Troy, OH passed away on December 16, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton after a brief illness.  He was born on January 15, 1942 in Huntington, WV to the late Walter Wesley and Levada (Darnell) Bailey.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years of marriage: Virginia Ann (Williams) Bailey; children: Gene (Melette) Bailey of Troy; Melinda Large of Ashland, KY; Jennifer Barker of Kettering; four grandchildren: Chazz Large of Ashland KY; Chelsea Snyder of Columbus; Brad (Chelsea) Bailey of Ludlow Falls and Makayla (Fiance` Jake King) Large of Troy; two great grandchildren: Raelyn Large of Ashland KY and Adalynn King of Troy; sister: Barbara Zeller of Arcanum; his dog Smokey and a host of family and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Linda Bailey.

He attended Christian Chapel in Ginghamsburg.  He loved to ride his motorcycle, travel, hunting and he enjoyed Nascar, drag racing, Kentucky basketball and Ohio State football.  He retired from Waste Management after 30 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday December 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
