Gregory E. Byrd, age 62, of Troy, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy.  He was born in Troy on December 4, 1962, to the late Willis James and Vivian Louise (Lewis) Byrd.

Gregory is survived by two children: Jenteal West of Piqua, and Aaliyah Byrd of Middletown; one sister: Audra Taylor of Troy; one brother: Vernon "Jeff" Byrd of Troy; and two grandchildren: Joshua Foster, Jr and Jace Foster.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: James A. Byrd, Lisa Byrd and Cindy Byrd.

Gregory loved to follow sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys.  After graduating, he attended a trade school.
