Granville P. 'Pappy' Spears is survived by his mother, Nona Spears Swanson; his wife,Mary 'Pete' Mathews Spears; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Spears, Karol Shoup Johnson and Tim Johnson, and Patricia Shoup Linde; five sisters, Wanda Jean Mays, Connie Sue Kazee, Linda Keller, Janice Fritz, Carolyn Hilburn; two brothers, Bud Campbell and Billy Poe; two grandchildren, Dust and Courtney Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his father, Enoch Poe.

Burial was in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, Ohio with VFW honor guard at graveside.
