Gordon R. Penney, 80, of Troy, Ohio died on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at his son's home in Brookville, Ohio. He is survived by children: Barbara Carico of Sacramento, CA; Kathleen F. Heffner of Appleton, WS; James F. Ingels of Brookville, OH; brothers, Ray, John and Roy Penney all of Texas; five grandchildren, Michelle Barker, Cheryl Jacobson, Vicki Peebles, Sarah Richardson and Billy Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Rose Goss Penney; his wife, Margaret E. Folkerth Penney; one son, one daughter; one grandchild, Eric Ingels; 3 brothers, Malcolm, Jr., Curtis and Doug and four sisters, Rose, Marjorie, Elsie and Gertrude. Mr. Penney served in the Navy during WWII;was a member of International Brotherhood of Iron Workers. He retired from Piqua Steel in 1985. Visitation for Mr. Penney will be from noon -2:00PM on Friday, August 15, 2003 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. A service will be held at 2:00PM at the funeral home with burial in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. There will be a memorial honor guard at graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to Neil Lindsey Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Brookville High School.
