Gloria D. Shepard Gloria D. Shepard, age 59, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 6:00PM Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio after a short illness. She was born on May 16, 1949 in Lena, Ohio, to the late Homer and Lucille Baker Ceyler. Her husband, Donald C. Shepard, preceded her in death on March 8, 2008. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Tina Shepard of Troy, Ohio and Tonya and Bruce Beard of Plain City, Ohio; four brothers: Lawrence Ceyler of Brandt, Ohio, Michael Ceyler of Springfield, Ohio, Richard Ceyler of Lena, Ohio and Horris Ceyler of Fletcher, Ohio; three sisters: Patricia Williams of Westerville, Ohio, Dorothy Dye of Troy, Ohio and Elsie Berg of Springfield, Ohio; and three grandchildren: Taylor, Zachary and Sydney. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Shepard was preceded in death by one daughter, Tricia; three sisters: Betty Ceyler, Virginia Ceyler and Helen McCrossin; and one brother, Ralph Ceyler. She was a 1967 graduate of Miami East High School and worked at Piqua Technologies. Funeral services will take place at 10:30AM Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Philip Schumm officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
