Glenna Ellen Shaw, 90, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on July 25, 1914 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Samuel and Minnie Bowers Root. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Deo Shaw, who passed in 1975. She is survived by three sons, Don D. and Ruthann Shaw of Loveland, CO; Samuel L and Debbie Shaw of Piqau, OH; and Larry D. and Virginia Shaw of Troy, Ohio. She has seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Along with her husband preceding her in death are three brothers, Ed Root, Jess Root and Arthur Root; three sisters, Anna Mae Miller, Dora Besecker and Dorothy Wetzel. She was a former member of Grace Baptis Churuc, Troy, Ohio and the West Milton Senior Citizens and Englewood Senior Citizens. She attended Bradford Schools. She formerly was employed at the Troy Daily News and self-employed housekeeper. Pastor Mike Eiras will be officiating the service with burial in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
