Glenda B. Ries, 56, of Covington, Ohio died on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born on September 6, 1949 in Benham, Kentucky to Alonzo and Beatrice Lewis Scalf. Her father precedes her in death. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ries, husband of 37 years; mother Beatrice Scalf; children, Lonnie Tracy Ries of Eldorado, Arkansas; Michelle Gary Westfall of Burlington, Kentucky; sisters and brothers-in-law; Linda James Glenn of Mansfield, Kentucky; Brenda Denny Crouse of Huber Heights, Ohio; six grandchildren, Taylor Ries; Victoria Ries; Emmaline Ries; Michael Westfall; Matthew Westfall and Abigail Westfall. She is also survived by special friends, Tony & Mary Miller of Port Orange, Florida. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio. She was an avid bowler and golfer; and she was active with Roman Trojans Camping Club. She was a graduate of Butler High School, Vandalia, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 11:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio with Fr. James Duell officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, April 6, 2006 from 5-8pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
