GLEN E. SHOFFNER, age 91, of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Dayton on January 24, 1927 to the late William and Brenda Shoffner.  His wife of 66 years, Stella (Beatty) Shoffner, preceded him in death on December 12, 2017.

Glen is survived by nieces: Janet Showalter, Kay (Walter) Kaye and Shirley (John) Winger; nephews: Howard (Frances) Schumacher, Robert (Carol) Schumacher, Ralph Ransdell and Mike Ransdell.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister: Myrtle Eberhardt; niece: Linda Ransdell and nephews: Robert Showalter and Donald Eberhardt Jr.

Glen proudly served his country in the US Navy.  He worked as a welder at Hobart and Motoman.  Glen's passions were watching westerns, eating out and square dancing.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
