Glen H. Rudy, age 85, of Casstown, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at his residence.  He was born on March 15, 1939, in Casstown to the late Miles and Fern (Smalley) Rudy.

Glen is survived by two children: Kimberly L. (Eric M.) Carey and Tim (Denise) Rudy; one sister: Gail Laufer; one brother: David (June) Rudy; two grandchildren: Logan (Summer) Carey and Connor (Madelynn) Carey; and three great grandchildren: Autumn, Eden and Scarlett.  In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by one brother-in-law: William "Bill" Laufer.

Glen was a 1957 graduate of Miami Central High School.  He enjoyed old westerns and the Lawrence Welk Show.  Glen loved the Cincinnati Reds, dinner with the Casstown gang, his monthly get-togethers with his classmates and seeing his friends at Holly's.  He was a 60 year member of Mt. Olivet Lodge # 226 in Christiansburg.  He was a dedicated farmer who lived 83 of his 85 years on the family farm.  He was one of the last employees with Braun Brothers/Dinner Bell Foods, after 33 years, and later worked at Evergreen and Total Landscape Care.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
