Gladys Nelma Thompson is survived by four daughters, Sharon Thompson, Shawnee Huffman, Diana ''Twiggy'' Parrish all of Troy and Roberta Thompson of Detroit, Michigan; two sons, Richmond of Troy and Michael of Livonia, Michigan; 21 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred Johnson, Liala Turley, Loraine Rock and Bernice Rock; two brothers, Roy and Rusty Kemppainen all from Baraga, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Aane Kemppainen; her husband, Richmond Ward Thompson; three sons, Douglas, Terry and Leslie and a sister, Helen. Mrs. Thompson was a fulltime mother, raising nine children. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in care of Baird Funeral Home.
