Gerald D. ''Jake'' Overholser, 74, Troy, Ohio died Friday, December 6, 2002 at his residence. He was born to the late Burlin and Mina Dickey Overholser, October 27, 1928. He is also proceeded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. Chase Overholser in May 2001. Surviving are 3 children: Daughter and Son-in-law; Bonnie and Bill Voss of Palm Harbor, Fla; Son and Daughter-in-law; Ken and Suzie Overholser of Troy; and Marty Overholser of Troy. He had 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Also proceeding him in death was his twin brother, ''Shorty'' Overholser. Mr. Overholser was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Troy, and also attended Ginghamsburg Church; member of the Troy Senior Center; Hobart Quarter Century Club; Troy Elks Lodge #833; Loyal Order of Moose # 1044; Franklin Lodge #14 F&AM. He was also an avid fisherman. Mr. Overholser retired from Hobart Corp. in the Quality Control Dept. after 40 years of service. He retired in 1989.
