Gerald E. Jelley, 86, of Casstown, died Thursday, September 7 at Harborside Healthcare Center.
He was born March 1, 1914 to Oral E. and Eva Gertrude Cropley Jelley.
Mr. Jelley is survived by his wife Juanita Jelley; one son, Richard E. Jelley of Davie, FL; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Don Shaw of Piqua; three grandchildren, Linda Jelley, Julie Marshall and Brent Shaw; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, one brother and one sister.
Mr. Jelley was a member of the Casstown United Methodist Church, Tippecanoe Lodge No. 174 F&AM, Tipp City, member of the Miami County Radio Club, former mayor of Casstown 1975-1989, and former member of the Casstown Fire Department. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1932 and retired in 1976 from Frigidaire, Dayton.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2000 at Baird Funeral Home with the REv. David C. Ramming officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
