Georgia Faye Ellison, age 83, of Troy, OH passed away on January 29, 2025.  She was born on February 9, 1941 in Load, KY to the late John and Mary (Humble) Potter.

She is survived by her two daughters: Zenda (Ben Anderson) Rees of Troy, Melinda (Doug Hornyak) McGraw of Dayton; daughter-in-law: Denise Sparks of Piqua; six grandchildren: Kim (Chris) Beatty of Dayton, Roy (Kelly) McGraw of Harriman, TN, Jonathan (Desiree) Rees of Kingston, TN, Courtney (Maurice) Willman of Troy, Chris (Baye) Sparks of Troy, and Willliam (Whitney) Sparks of Piqua; twenty one great grandchildren; sister: Elizabeth Rayburn of Piqua and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Ramey S. "Sam" Sparks, Jr., and William Sparks; granddaughters: Amanda Sparks and Jessica Rees; four brothers: Carl, Earl, Charlie, and Junior Potter; and three sisters: Della Tucker, Ella Potter, and Bonnie Callihan.

She retired from teaching in Sunshine, Kentucky. She also retired from AO Smith, Brown Bridge and Frisch's. She enjoyed bingo, lottery, talking on the phone and feeding the birds.

Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Powers officiating.  Family will receive friends prior to service from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
