GEORGIA JEAN NAVE

GEORGIA JEAN NAVE, age 83, of Troy, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her residence.  She was born on May 6, 1931 in Dayton, OH to the late Frank and Dorthy (Francis) Bishop.  Her husband of 39 years, Wayne A. Nave of Troy, survives.

Georgia was preceded in death by two sisters: Nina and Shirley Bishop; three brothers: James, David and Robert Bishop; and one son: Michael L. Smith.  Survivors include sister: Judy Mohler; and brothers: Thomas, Richard, William and John Bishop.  She is also survived by daughters: Mary and husband Rich Nilsen, Robin and husband Dan Miller, Vickie and husband Greg Sparks and Cindy Nave; sons: David and wife Donna Smith, Kenny and wife Peggy Smith, Herb and wife Bonnie Judy, Gerald Judy and Allen and wife Mary Nave.  Other survivors include grandchildren: Iain and Barbara Smith, William and Megan Smith, Britain and Mary Fay Wilcock, Dede and Mark Scheck, Aimee and Joel Eckstein, Tina Gerow, Andrea and Jeff Rubinstine, Aaron and Sarah Gosser, Emily Judy, Leslie and Samuel Pulver, Jared Sierra, Jeremy Sierra, Kira and Cody Roesser and Donald and Betsy Nave; and numerous great grandchildren.

Jean attended Roosevelt High School and retired from Inland in Dayton.  She loved the Lord, her children and her garden.  A special thanks to Hospice of Miami County for all their support.

Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Jeff Rollison officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
