George F. Speck, 89, of Troy, Ohio passed away Fri. Aug. 2, 2002 at his residence following a terminal illness. He was born Nov. 7, 1912 in Tiffin, OH to the late Frank and Loretta Rhorbach Speck. He is preceded in death by his first wife Doris Harding Speck in 1956 and his second wife AnnaLee Lippincott Speck 1985. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Eric LaChey of Troy; Stepdaughter and son-in-law Mary Lee and Bud Ogle of Arcanum; 2 sons and daughter-in-law Don L. and Pat Speck and Robert H. and Mary Speck of Troy; 5 grandchildren. He was an avid bowler since 1935, a member of the First Lutheran Church in Troy, member of BPOE #833 in Troy, Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge #174. He retired in Logistics from Wright Patterson Air Force Base after 42 years of service. Funeral services will be Mon. Aug. 5, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the Baird Funeral Home with the Rev. Gill W. Krouse officiating. Friends may call on the family two hours prior to service mon. with Masonic lodge services to be held at 10:00AM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Co., or the American Cancer Society.
