George D. Sipe, Jr. died May 15, 2002 in Sidney, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, George D. and Treva Ballinger Sipe and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Betty Marshall Sipe and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sipe was a 1940 graduate of Troy High School and was a member of the football team. Mr. Sipe belonged to square dance units, Shooting Stars of Fairborn and Go Gos of Kettering. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Bricklayers Local #22. Mr. Sipe helped his father at Sipes Cigar Shop, E. Main Street, Troy; one time owner of Flash Restaurant, Troy. He was in construction years to follow, retiring as a brick mason.
