George A. Chapman, age 76 died Friday in Troy, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. and Mary M. Jenkins Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Jean Bere; daughters and their husbands, Dottie and John Davis; Cathy Chapman and Wade Dorsey and Barbara Chapman and Alan Zakin; sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Robert Frey and brother and sister-in-law, Ted M. and Helen Chapman; grandchildren, Janelle Chapman and Derek Chapman. Member of First United Church of Christ, Troy; Legion of Honor Member of the Kiwanis Club; United States LST Association; American MENSA Limited; Troy Senior Citizens; Trojan Squares; Wright Patters Square Dance Club and the Farm Bureau Council. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and a graduate of the Olive Branch High School, New Carlisle, OH; The Ohio State University and the Wright State University. He was a real estate broker with Chapman Realty Inc.
