George Brumfield George Brumfield, age 84, of North Hampton, Ohio, passed away at 9:45AM on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born on October 28, 1925 in Crum, West Virginia to the late Noah and Charlotta Webb Brumfield. He was married to Goldie Parsley Brumfield who preceded him in death on August 19, 2006 after 59 years of marriage. He is survived by two daughters: Marlena Gilliam of North Hampton, Ohio and Veronica Cruz of South Carolina; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Clifton Brumfield of Troy, Ohio and Harold and Susan Brumfield of Piqua, Ohio; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and dearest friend, Dianne Snowberger of Lafayette, Indiana. In addition to his parents and his wife, George was preceded in death by one son, Clinton; one great-grandson, Luke Casto; and eight brothers and sisters. George was a US Army WWII Veteran. He was a member of AMVETS, Troy, Ohio; Troy VFW and Troy Fish & Game. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a welder with Auto Tube in Bradford, Ohio before his retirement. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Rick Clos officiating. Interment will follow at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio with VFW Memorial Honorguard at the graveside. Friends may call from 6-8PM Friday at the funeral home.
