George Dallas Blankenship, 64, of Troy, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Upper Valley Medical Center ER, Troy, Ohio. He was born on May 19, 1940 in Troy, Ohio to the late Clarence ''Jim'' and Helen Baer Blankenship. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Allinikov Blankenship and their children, Michael E. & Christina R. Blankenship of Troy, OH; four step-children; Stephen Parks of New Carlisle, OH; Karen Morgan of Troy, OH; Sherri Belcher of Troy, OH and Anne Marie Williams of Troy, OH. Also he has three grandchildren and thirteen step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Bob Blankenship. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Covington High School and Clark State College. He worked at Kroger's; Hobart Arena and Meijer's for the past 15 years. Services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 11:30am at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Pastor Mike Eiras officiating the service. Friends and family my call one hour prior to the service. Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 10:30am-11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
