Genevieve Joan Weikert Genevieve Joan Weikert, age 87, of Troy, Ohio died on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born on October 2, 1924 in Troy to the late Ercey and Clara Mary Brinkman Kessler. Her husband, Harold L. Weikert, preceded her in death in 1992. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Cindy Weikert of Tipp City, Ohio, Tom and Trish Weikert of Troy and Jeff and Micki Weikert of Troy; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Barbara and Larry Cassell of Columbus, Ohio, Cathy Coffy of North Canton, Ohio and Susan and Jim Hagar of McKinney, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Weikert was preceded in death by one son, Timothy H. Weikert on October 3, 2011 and nine brothers and sisters. She was a 1942 graduate of Troy High School. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Ladies Card Club for over 70 years. A Celebration of Life will be held with family receiving friends from 1-4PM on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at UAW Local 128, 1230 S. Market Street, Troy, Ohio 45373.
