Gene E. Schnell Moore Gene E. Schnell Moore, age 88, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 11:20AM on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born on January 11, 1923 in Troy, to the late Charles and Artie Alexander Schnell. Her husband, Collier Wayne Moore, preceded her in death in 1969. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Stephen Sederquist of Martinsville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Terrence "Terry" and Shirley Moore of Tipp City, Ohio; three grandchildren, Matt Sederquist, Katherine Moore and Charles Moore; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Jonathan Sederquist. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Wert and Barbara Scherer. She graduated from Troy High School in 1940. She was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Troy and a member of the Troy Historical Society and the Troy Museum Corporation. Mrs. Moore retired in 1985 from the Troy Board of Education. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Dr. Keith Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ, 130 S.
