Gene R. Joins

Gene R. Joins, age 67, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home. He was born on November 15, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland.

He is survived by his father Warren T. Thompson; two sons, Dean R. (Regina) Joins and Brian K. (Brandy) Joins; one daughter, Deirdre A. Joins; eight grandchildren: Casi (Joe) Hardin, Joshua-Lee Joins, Jessica Pemberton, Dylan Joins, Taylor Joins, Brian Joins II, Amber Joins, and Evan Joins; five great grandchildren: Austin, Dalton, Presley, London and Payton.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty L. (Elswick) Thompson.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association and retired after 40 years with the Brown-Bridge, Kimberly Clark and Spinnaker Companies in Troy, Ohio.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Healy officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00-11:00am.
