Gary R. Midlam age 69, of Troy, OH died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in Upper Valley Medical Center, E.R., Troy, OH. He was born in Dayton, OH on July 9, 1938, the son of Robert and Kathryn Shoemaker Midlam. In addition to his mother, Kathryn Midlam who resides in Vandalia, OH, Gary is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marlene K. Turner Midlam; two daughters, Kimala Drum of Chino Valley, AZ and Deborah Tim Beier of Englewood, KY, two sons, Robert Donna Midlam of Greenfield, OH and Stephen Midlam of Centerville, OH, step-children, Jim Daino of Waynesville, OH, Cathy Davis-Fox and Susan Daino both of Troy, OH, brother, Douglas Midlam of Coconut Creek, FL, and eight grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Robert and son, Gary Midlam II. Mr. Midlam was Past President of Elizabeth Twp. Historical Society and a member of Harvest Masonic Lodge, Dayton, OH. He is a graduate of General Motors Institute and a retired Industrial Engineer with General Motors. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with the Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, OH. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00AM until time of service.
