Gary W. Edmison, 65, of Casstown, Ohio departed this life Thurs. Feb. 22, 2001 at his residence following a short illness. He was born July 9, 1935 to Alma Warner of Sparta, Wisconsin and the late Charles Edmison. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 45 years Barbara Studebaker Edmison; a daughter Brenda K. Adkinson of Longmont, Colorado; 1 brother Gene Edmison of Sparta, Wisconsin; 2 sisters Karen Christopherson and Alma Bernuck both of Sparta, Wisconsin; 1 grandson Gary Shonery Edmison. Gary was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters. Mr. Edmison was a US Marine veteran serving during the Korean Conflict; a member of the Troy Fish and Game; VFW Smith O'Neil Post; Troy Elks Lodge #833; Troy Moose Lodge; Eagles Lodge; Redmen Lodge; and AmVets where he was past commander. He graduated from Sparta High School and was the former owner and operator of Edmison Trucking Co. in Casstown. Services will be Mon. Feb. 26,2001 at 10:30 AM at the Baird Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Arrowood officiating. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery with Military Honors held at the gravesite. Friends may call at the funeral home Sun. 2/25 from 1 to 3 PM. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Co.
