Frederick Edward Smith, Jr., age 79 of Tipp City, Ohio died Saturday, December 16, 2000. Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Edward Sr. and Effie Green Smith, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Oliver Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Frederick Edward III and Patricia Smith and three grandchildren, Frederick Edward ''Eric'' Smith IV; Christina Smith and Nathan Smith. A member and past deacon of the Polk Grove United Church of Christ and a graduate of Steele High School, Dayton. He was a 25 year employee of NCR, Dayton and retired from Computer Peripherals Inc. of Rochester, MI.
