Frederick Karl Fleischmann, age 77, of Troy, OH, passed away on October 27, 2023 at Koester Pavilion. He was born on August 14, 1946 in Gary, IN to the late Earl Fleischmann and Lilly (Dowd) Sroufe.

Fred is survived by his wife of 41 years: Linda Lea (Lauck) Fleischmann; children: Christopher (Krissie) Fleischmann of RI, Michelle Wood of Troy and Amy (Joe) Kollars of Wapakoneta; son-in-law: Mark Solomon; siblings: Judith Moyer of Lima and David Fleischmann of FL; grandchildren: Joseph Kollars, Katrina Fleischmann, Shelby (Dwayne) Keehn and Alexander Sutler; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend: Kenny "Muff" Pelletier. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his daughter: Tami Solomon, stepfather: Robert Sroufe; brother: Roger Sroufe, and grandson: Cory Evans.

Fred was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He served in the US Navy with the Seabees Special Unit, completing 2 tours in Vietnam. Fred was a member of American Legion #43 Troy, VFW Post 9582 Vandalia, and Loyal Order of the Moose 2695 Troy. He retired from Motoman (Yaskawa) with robotics assembly. Fred previously worked as the Vice President of Operations at Undercar Specialty Warehouse in Dayton, a stockroom manager at Dayton Wather and a manager for Muffler Brothers in Lima. Fred also volunteered with the Troy Civic Theatre. He enjoyed fishing, NHRA, Hot Wheels, and spending time with his family.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 12 at Vandalia VFW Post 9582, 4170 Old Springfield Rd, Vandalia, OH 45377, with military honors.
