Franklin E. "Skip" Wise, Jr. Franklin E. "Skip" Wise, Jr., age 73, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 6:05PM on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at his residence. He was born on July 12, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Franklin Eugene "Buzz" Wise, Sr. and Rita Clara Mary Fischer Wise. His wife of 38 years, Barbara Janczura Wise, survives. He is also survived by sisters: Mary Jane "Jane" Wilkins of Celina, Ohio, Elizabeth "Becky" and Robert "Doc" Wimmers of Carol Stream, Illinois, Barbara Ann "Bobbie" and Robert "Chico" Weber of Celina, Ohio and Judith "Judy" Dixon of Celina, Ohio; brother, James "Jim" and Annie Wise of Akron, Ohio; sister-in-law, Brenda Wise of Texas; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Viola and Ronald Weigle of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his goddaughter, Angie Meenan of Dallas, Texas; and godson, James Paul "Jimmy" Wise of N. Canton, Ohio and his beloved companions—his cats, Jasper and Tiger. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Wise. He attended the Immaculate Conception School in Celina, Ohio until eighth grade; Brunnerdale Seminary in Canton, Ohio for junior high and high school; and St. Joseph College in Indiana. He was a member of the Amici C.PP.S. Society of Precious Blood. Mr. Wise was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy and the third and fourth degree of the Knights of Columbus where he served as the Financial Secretary for many years. He served in the US National Guard. He and his wife were former members of the Trojan Square Dance Club. He retired from Minster Machine and formerly taught sixth grade at Immaculate Conception School, Celina, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
