Frances "Frankie" Bailey Frances "Frankie" Bailey, age 89, of Piqua, Ohio, formerly of Lakeland, Florida, went to be with her Lord at 8:21PM on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on January 15, 1921 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the late George B. and Carolyn Hoage Robinson. Her husband, Forest Bailey, preceded her in death in 1995. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Carolyn and Don Putnam of Troy and Pam and Mike Hobbs of Houston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kim Rice of Creston, Ohio; two step-daughters and sons-in-law: Connie and Dick Horney and Jeanne and Larry Smith all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law: Dave and Joan Bailey of Defiance, Ohio and Steve Bailey of Hawaii; one sister, Lucy Thomas of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers: Ray Lanham of Garland, Texas and Charles Lanham of Waterbury, Connecticut; five grandchildren: Josh, Joe, and Trevor Rice, Amanda Putnam and Emily Greg Hunsucker; and nine step-grandchildren: Mike Horney, Cheryl Brown, Jennifer Schlater, Jeff Bailey, Daniel, Michael and Michelle Smith and Michelle and Andy Bailey. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by two brothers, Ike and George Robinson. She was a graduate of McKendree College in Illinois. She was a sergeant in the US Marine Corps having served in WWII and was the Activities Director for Leisure Oaks Nursing Home in Defiance, Ohio. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church, Fletcher, Ohio. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Fletcher United Methodist Church with Pastor Russ Tichenor officiating. Military Honors will be held at the cemetery at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fletcher United Methodist Church, 205 South Walnut, Box 278, Fletcher, Ohio 45326 or to the Miami Valley Freedom Alliance, c/o Gates, Kitze and Gapinski, Inc., at 808 E.
