FLOYD HERBERT SCHLATTER

FLOYD HERBERT SCHLATTER, age 74, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  He was born on January 27, 1942 in Paris, IL to the late Floyd J. and Mary Helen (Sealy) Schlatter.  On May 18, 1968 in Troy, OH, he married Mary Ellen Baker.  She survives.

Floyd is also survived by two children: Randy Schlatter of Orlando, FL and Tammy (Doug) Hass of Springfield, OH; four grandchildren: Amber Wolfe of Troy, OH, Mindy (Joseph) Frost and Samantha (Shawn) Strunk, both of Springfield, OH, and John Hass of Bowling Green, OH; and thirteen great grandchildren: Mark Wolfe, Kailyn Hale, Landin Hale and ten additional.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Earl Sealy; and one sister: Doris Bridgewater.

Floyd was a plant operator at West Milton Water and Waste Water Plant in West Milton.  He was a volunteer firefighter for 30 years with the West Milton/Ludlow Falls Fire Department.  Floyd was also an avid military history enthusiast, volunteered at the Veteran's Museum in Troy and loved trains.
