Florence W. Schaefer Florence W. Schaefer, age 98 of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 1:44AM on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on August 23, 1910 in Miami County, Ohio to William Arthur and Margaret Kuhnle Walters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Schaefer, on October 11, 1977. Florence is survived by her sister-in-law, Thelma Walters and three nephews: Kenneth, Gary and Robert Walters. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Walters and her stepdaughter, Betty Anderson. She was past secretary and treasurer of Hobart Corp Union Employee Retirement Club. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Carol Bastin officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 1-2PM Monday at the funeral home.
